Therapy, Facility & Crisis Response
Dog Training
Become a Certified Therapy, Facility, or Crisis Response Team: Training and Evaluations for You and Your Dog
If your dog has the temperament to be a therapy, facility, or crisis response dog, we can help train them in the skills they need, so you can become a confident and effective part of a specialized support team together.
At Enjoy Your Dog Training, we offer a proven training process and will evaluate whether your dog has the temperament necessary for this type of work. Not all dogs are destined to become therapy, facility, or crisis response dogs — and that’s okay. Our role is to help you understand your dog’s strengths and determine the best path forward.
Cultivating Calm, Confidence, and Connection
A successful specialized support dog isn’t defined by breed or background—it’s determined by temperament, resilience, and a strong relationship with their handler.
Our training focuses on:
Calm, stable behavior in busy or unpredictable environments
Confidence around medical equipment, mobility aids, or new settings
Appropriate social skills with children, adults, or older adults
Emotional neutrality or quick recovery after stress
Reliable obedience or task-readiness
Handler skills that support your dog’s success, including learning how to work confidently in a variety of environments
We support your training journey while being honest and transparent about whether your dog is suited for therapy, facility, or crisis response work.
