Puppies generally move in with their forever family as young as 8-9 weeks old. That is a great age to start! To join Puppy Class they should be between 8 weeks and 5 months old. If they are older than 5 months they should join our Level 1 Class.

Yes, you certainly can, and your older dog will love it! Trick training and nose work are both great for getting your older dog moving a bit and using their brain.

If you are teaching new behaviors you can often see results within minutes.

Yes, the dog is part of your family and spends most of his time with the family. Our goal is for the whole family to enjoy the time training your four legged friend, creating a lifetime bond.

Not at all. With the techniques we will teach you, results are often seen within minutes. Two 5-minute training sessions with your dog are recommended per day.

Nope, we use positive reinforcement, which makes it fun and easy to train your pup without all the risks of using punishment. We’ll show you and your family how to use positive reinforcement to get proven results backed by science.

The majority of our classes only have 4 dogs per class, so you receive plenty of personalized attention. On occasion, there may be a 5th dog in our Puppy, Level 1, or Level 2 classes as part of a make-up. Our Therapy Prep Class does have room for 5 dogs.

Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations on file with us prior to the start of class. Puppies should be up-to-date with their age-appropriate vaccinations. Vaccinations required are:

• Rabies

• DHLPP (Distemper)

• Bordetella.

If you would like to take a class that isn’t currently registering, just fill out this form to be added to our waitlist. We will contact you when a new class becomes available. Clients on our waitlist get the first chance to register before we make the class public.

Just send us an email to info@enjoyyourdogtraining.com and let us know which class you are interested in. If we have a last-minute cancellation in that class, you will be notified and given the opportunity to take a single class.

There are no prerequisites for our Puppy, Agility, Nose Work, or Level 1. If you would like to sign up for a Level 2, please contact us if you haven't taken a class with us before. To join Therapy Prep Class, you should have completed Level 2 or a comparable class.

Dogs must be at least 1 year of age to test to become a therapy dog. You do not need to take the Therapy Prep Class in order to sign up for the practice or actual evaluation. We do offer private lessons where we can help evaluate if your pup has what it takes and get you additional training as needed. At the conclusion of the practice evaluation, you will receive feedback on how you did, if you would've passed, and what you might still need to work on. If you pass the actual evaluation, you will need to register and pay for it through the testing company to receive your certification. It can be difficult to remember everything from week to week. Or maybe a new situation has come up and you're not sure how best to address it. I will be available at no extra charge by phone or email to answer your questions for an additional 30 days after the last lesson with a 5-week program.

Class/Private Rescheduling Policy:

If you reschedule more than 3 business days* before the class or private session begins, there is no charge.

If you reschedule 3 business days* or less before the class or private session begins, there is a $50 charge.

Class/Private Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel more than 5 business days* before the class or private session begins, you will receive a 100% refund, minus a $25 charge.

If you cancel 5 business days* or less before the class or private session begins, you will receive a 50% refund.

Once the class or private sessions have begun, no refunds will be given.

*Business days are considered Monday through Friday.
